Double line

I'm Tom, and I have a deep interest in how we construct and operate our built world with technology.

I’m a co-founder and CTO at Eagle, where we believe there’s a tremendous opportunity to radically advance how technology is leveraged within the engineering services industry.

I have a formal background in structural engineering with five years of study with a focus on architecture, followed by four years of professional practice. While practicing, I felt consistently let down by the industry’s technology stack: from my analysis and design tooling to filling out my timesheet or submitting a site report. There was friction everywhere, and it felt like all of these problems were tractable—we just didn’t have the capital to address them.

I spent the next decade working with government agencies and businesses to solve some of their most mission-critical problems with software. From the USAF and NIH to banks and insurance companies, I partnered with leaders within these large, complex organizations to transform the way they worked. I consistently operated in a forward-deployed motion, often building from zero to one, but also scaling more mature products and teams.

I live in Brooklyn with my dog, in a loft I renovated mostly myself. I ran competitively in college and now stay active with other pursuits. My initial software development background is self-taught.
